Barefoot Bowls a success!

Yesterday on a mild sunny winter's afternoon approximately 80 Bulli surf club members & their friends put on display their barefoot bowls skills at Thirroul Bowling Leagues & Recreation Club.

Maybe some should stick with what they do best, surf club competition and patrols.

It was a great day of socializing with teams of 4 rotating around the 2 greens with cool refreshments in hand trying to shown their superior skills. Heaps of random prizes were also given to bowlers...good or bad!

After the outdoor green activities people moved inside to purchase raffle tickets and with a few silent auction items going under the hammer as well.

In all a good day & $1,800 raised for our surf sports athletes travelling to South Australia in November for the 2012 World Life Saving Championships (Rescue 2012).

Thanks to Keith Caldwell, Lincoln Costello, Maria Caldwell, Julie Heycott, Russ Jones, Barry Adams & Barry Lowe for their work on the day organising raffle prizes & silent auction items, selling raffle tickets, collecting payment from bowlers, cooking the BBQ.
