First ever Balranald Surf Carnival
The school ran their first ever “Surf”Carnival on Lake Benanee 75kms west of Balranald on Friday 19 March 2021.
It was a huge success with events such as flags, beach sprints, swims, kayak racing, iron man and woman and the highlight of the day three surf boat races. Open Boys Boat was won by Mungo House, Open Girls Boat won by Yenga House and Junior Boat won by Mungo House.
A big hearty thank you to the Boat Captains of clubs who donated second hand equipment to the Balranald Central School to make this possible. The event will be held first term every year from now on. Students from Balranald Central School hope to be attending surf awareness training and attaining their Surf Life Saving qualifications on an excursion to the Illawarra in Term 4
