Illawarra Folk Festival - BULLI SLSC selected charity to receive funds
Dear Members & Friends,
Bulli Surf Life Saving Club has been selected as one of 2 charities to receive funds from the Illawarra Folk Festival.
The Illawarra Folk Festival is a local event held at Bulli Showground.
If you normally go to this great event please read below how you can help our cause!!!
With 100’s of performers, several stages over four days & nights, there will definitely be music that will cater for all tastes. Kids under 12 are free, and youth tickets available. There will be food stalls galore, tea/coffee vans, a Festival Bar as well as clothing/jewellery/gifts and instrument stalls. The Folk School will give you a chance to learn something new, or pick up different musical skills
Bulli Surf Club will host the opening Charity Night on Thursday 18th January along with local charity Need a Feed.
Use the code, SURF2018 when purchasing a season pass to the Illawarra Folk Festival and the Festival will donate $40 back to Bulli Surf Club. For every Adult Day pass purchased, the club will receive $20, and $10 for every evening pass (using the code). Anyone can use the code, so get the message out to friends, family, work mates, neighbours etc
Charity Night: Need a Feed and Bulli Surf Club will share all entry fees to the Charity Night. For $30, you will be supporting your surf club, and the chance to see several bands perform. This is a family night, kids under 12 free with an adult. The Festival bar will be open and food stalls on site. There will be a raffle too, drawn on the night with all proceeds going to the two charities. More more information on the Charity Night please contact Club President Keith Caldwell bullisurfclub@gmail.com or 0414-258295.
Billet a performer: You can support your local Folk Festival by billeting a performer during the Festival. Simply provide bed and breaky and you will receive 2 x free full season passes, 30 Black Diamond Dollars to spend at the bar or on IFF merchandise, and a free session of your choice at the Folk School. In addition to all this, you’ll get to meet some fantastic musicians from all over Australia and abroad.

Youth music and Youth Scholarships: We encourage our young budding musical folk to be involved with the opportunity to perform at the Festival and a chance to receive an Illawarra Folk Festival scholarship. See website for more information
Bush Dance: Bulli Surf Club and their friends & supporters & families are also invited to the Bush Dance on Wed 17th January at Bulli Showground. Bring a picnic and drinks and enjoy this family event, for free
So spread the word, the more people who come along to the Charity Night (Thursday 18 January), the more funds that Bulli Surf Club receives, and the more Festival tickets sold – the more the Bulli Surf Club receives.
