Funeral Service for Helen Jones (wife) of Life Member John Jones OAM

Bulli Surf Life Saving Club offers its condolences to Life Member John Jones OAM who lost his lovely wife Helen last Friday (9 January) to a long battle with illness. Helen was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the club and both spent many years enjoying their time within Bulli Surf Life Saving Club.

Now living in Queensland John & Helen built a great amount of friendships with the surf life saving movement.

John (known as JJ) gained his Life Membership in the 1970-1971 season, he was an accomplished swimmer who turned his hand to coaching some of the hidden talents at Bulli including surf swimmers, R & R teams.

He is also the foundation President of Surf Life Saving New South Wales Juvenile Association (Nippers).

John held positions of Swim Coach, Secretary, Treasurer & Club Captain. John is also a Life Member of Surf Life Saving Queensland & Australia. Out prayers & thoughts are with John & his family at this sad time.

The funeral for Helen will be held on this Thursday 15 January 3.00pm at Centenary Memorial Gardens, the suburb of Sumner, Queensland.
